Chapter 22
Ashvik’s condition was not good at all as he was already weak because of fever and now because of the beating he went unconscious on the cold floor,his whole body was soaked in the cold water and his own blood making it hard to stay warm and the cold floors of the basement was not helping much either,
After Kabeer left the basement he went to the living room,it was almost 8 pm when Ansh came back and greets his father,
Ansh : Good evening Papa . Umm papa where is Ashvik?
Hearing this Kabeer stiffens for a moment but lied to his son as he knew if Ansh came to know then he will take him out from the basement, as he is not a fool to not notice the closeness between both the brothers nowadays,
Kabeer: Pata nahi soo Gaya hai shayad, uski tabiyat kharab lag rahi thi .
Ansh : ohh , chalo thik hai main jaa raha sone phir, bhook nhi hai mujhe abb thak gaya hu mai practice ke baad , bye .
Then he left to his room unknown of the fact that his little brother was fighting with his life in the basement,

The next day Armaan came back at 5 am and went to the kitchen, he was so hungry but couldn’t cook anything himself so he thought of instructing Ashvik as he was normally awake at this moment for his morning walks and Armaan has noticed it plenty of time , Not even that he has memorized the routes of his morning walks, telling himself its because he don’t want a Goenka going to bad places ,
He went to his room , knocked twice but no response came , he frowned as it’s not like Ashvik, he entered the room and saw the books were laying on the bed and some assignments on the desk , he was worried now as Ashvik never left his studies material as he is such an organised kid ,he searched whole room but couldn’t find the boy , so he ran downstairs as While searching he found his phone in room only and his shoes were placed to in the cupboard, he searched each and every place where He can be when suddenly a maid barely 20 came to him , hesitantly fearing she will be fired if she say something bad ,
Maid : sir…sirr
Armaan: what !!!
Maid : Are…are… you.. searching for Ashvik baba ?
Armaan: yess where is he ?do you know?
Maid : Kabeer sir , punished him yesterday, he is in the basement.
Armaan: whatt???? Ohk thanks for telling me .
Saying this he sprinted towards the basement mumbling “shit…shit dad ki punishment no..no.. it’s bad it’s so bad always”
Armaan reached their and Opened the door of Basement and instantly froze on the spot seeing Ashvik’s condition,
His whole body was painted with red whip marks , his face had fingerprint marks and some dried blood, he was unconscious, he came out of his daze and ran to help and check Ashvik as he was looking like a dead person right now,
Armaan: Ashvik!!!! Hey hey wake up,wake up please… please wake up .
He touched Ashvik and he was cold his whole body was so cold that his lips and fingertips were turned blue, his breathing was shallow and uneven, he quickly scrambled to get the keys of chains bounding his hand and came to unlock it all while mumbling broken apologies.
Armaan: (crying) Sorry..sorry please… Ashvik sorry ..please not you too baccha please….. Breath ..keep breathing baccha please i would not let you die .
After the chains were removed he fell onto the floor with a thud as he didn’t have any energy,
without wasting any time Armaan carried him and started going to the hospital as soon as possible, after coming up from the basement ,
Armaan rushed to the hospital with their on duty personal driver , he carried Ashvik with him in the backseat, trying to warm up his hands and legs by constantly rubbing them ,
Armaan : (sobbing) pls …,.pls baccha don’t…leave us … please… Ashvik… bubba… wake up …i promise….i promise…i will…will never….ever…. punish you baby please wake up …. don’t… punish your brother.. please .
He reached the hospital and carried Ashvik to Stresscher
Armaan: Nurse!!!! Nurse! Emergency it’s an emergency!!!!
He took Ashvik to their own hospital “Goenka life centre”, all the staff members were stunned to see their stern,composed and emotionless Boss like that as everyone was well known about Armaan’s behaviour and “this ” looked impossible,
They took Ashvik into the ICU ward and told Armaan to keep waiting outside,
Armaan was shaking and sobbing badly as the condition in which the 15 year old was looked serious and his own father was the one to do it and it was making him sick to the stomach, he was so angry at his own father, but right now nothing of it mattered because he needed his brother,his bhaiya to be with him so he called him ,
(With Abhimanyu, A.N~ think that He went to a place jaha par subah thi flight land karne ke baad and ab raat hai )
Meanwhile Abhimanyu has just finished his meeting with investors and was going to sleep when his phone rang ,
Abhimanyu: what?….
Before he could say anything Armaan started talking,
Armaan : (sobbing)bhai….bhai Ashvik… Ashvik…dad..dad.. punishment..woh
Abhimanyu: I can’t understand anything maan what happened Ashvik ko ? Is he fine please shaant hokar batao .
Armaan: dad punished him bhai , I don’t know why but when I reached he was not breathing right,his body was cold and bleeding bhai, I….I am scared please come soon bhai I need you I don’t know if he can make it or not . Please come soon bhai.
Abhimanyu: ohk…Ohk please take care of him Till I come , maan and listen carefully nothing will happen to him , okay he is a fighter just don’t let yourself spiral armaan .
After he ended the call He booked a jet to reach India as soon as possible, and left from their, meanwhile a nurse came to gather medical information about Ashvik making Armaan realise how bad of a brother he had been as he knew nothing about the boy and the doctors had to search for past history in the system.
