THEIR POINT OF VIEW
He watched as Elio shared a laugh with the most beautiful man in his eyes, before he was lifted up and pinned to the tree by the most dangerous powers in the vampire world.
“Don’t mock me!” Glass yelled at his mentor.
Elio kept a charming, light-hearted chuckle. “Forgive me, Master Glass! One couldn’t help but laugh after you destroyed a poor centipede’s home rock. Ha ha ha ha ha!”
Glass dropped Elio, who kept laughing on the ground. Evie watched with spiteful eyes as his lover walked over to help him. Ugh, why put your hands on a white supremacist?! I bet Elio would wash his hands after touching him…
However, Elio politely rejected his help. “No need, good Sir. I deserve such treatment after mocking you.”
“Fake *ss bullsh*t,” Evie muttered, making Archer giggle behind him. He was playing chess with Pryce.
“One thing Elio-san can’t do is fake. What goes on in his damaged little brain is what comes out of his shameless mouth… which is why he is more reliable than the other alumni’s,” Archer said, giggling into his red fan as he took Pryce’s rook. “Pressured, Pryce-sama?”
“Of course not, you opened up your pawn…” Pryce said as he moved his bishop to take a pawn.
“It’s a simple piece, not as important as your dead rook and knight,” the alumni softly replied with his painted lips behind his fan.
“Pawns are just as important—if not, more.” Pryce turned his sights to Evie. “Glass is getting along with his mentor, leave him be.”
“If Elio pisses him off, who’s gonna have to clean up the mess his Sheltering will make? Me,” Evie ranted, watching as Glass ignited a bush on fire and extinguished it at will. Such unparalleled skill from those beautiful hands… he salivated, wanting to kiss them with admiration.
“You sound like you don’t trust Glass with his powers… besides, he isn’t sober, that’s enough for Glass to tolerate Elio,” the blonde vampire mumbled, as his next move made Archer abruptly stop fanning his face. The latter had just taken the Geisha’s knight, triggering a checkmate.
Archer moved his king away. “Close call, Nii-sama. I won’t let you win that easy. I will go to bed with Evie tonight.”
“As if,” Pryce scoffed. “I’ll win this, and you’ll have to cuck and finger yourself in the corner with those knife-mittens.”
“F*ck ya’ll, I’m not a prize…” Evie yelled at them. “I will focus on Glass tonight, you guys can go screw yourselves.”
“You’ll have sex with Glass?” the blonde priest raised an eyebrow.
“Of course not, but I’d rather worship his beauty than pleasure your ugly *sses,” Evie snaps at them, looking at his lover from outside the window yet again. He sighed, “He’s all mine tonight, b*tches…”
Pryce proposed to Archer, “Loser in chess becomes the receiver, then?”
The Geisha, refusing the position, responded by revealing his sharp metal claws. “I prefer a duel to the death.”
Evie rolled his eyes at the foolish bulls and exited the room once Glass and Elio had concluded their session. He wanted to see his lover—he wanted to tear him away from his insignificant teacher. This dark-skinned, micro-braided little siren was his, and how dare Elio laugh so fondly with him.
As Glass went inside with his mentor, the dark-skinned vampire said with determination, “I’m going to confront Evie.”
“Hmm? About what, work hours?” Elio hummed.
“No—I don’t work for him, I mean I’ll confront him about f*cking everyone but me. Especially topping Jude then refusing to top me,” Glass crossed his arms. “I feel like his love is nothing but possession if he can’t even have sex with me.”
“Maybe he doesn’t want you hanged by a mob after he sleeps with you.” Glass glared at him for that statement, but Elio sounded genuine with his what he said next: “I never consummated my marriage at all, and yet I still love her dearly. I simply never desired her in that way.”
Evie and I are not married, but… Glass looked surprised. “You were married?”
“Why yes, as an heir for a plantation, I have to continue my lineage…” Elio looked pensive. “She got pregnant even though I didn’t sleep with her. Hmm… perhaps the unexpected heir was a blessing from the Lord!”
You dumb b*tch… Glass looked at him weirdly, but still thought about what he said. “How could you claim to love someone you don’t desire sexually?”
“I don’t know, I find the female anatomy very strange in a way I feel scared to be swallowed by the mouth-looking flesh-flower—”
“Okay, okay! No need to give me a visual, geez!” Glass exclaimed, covering his ears. “You’re not helping me at all! You don’t want to have sex with her because you don’t like pussy—my Evie wants Jude’s *ss but not mine, despite us having the same anatomy. It’s not the same situation!”
Elio watched as the walls behind Glass cracked in response to his frustration. The alumni sighed, “Forgive me Master Glass… we do not have the same lives, yes, but I guarantee you, Sir Everest loves you dearly.”
“How could you talk about love when you haven’t experienced such a thing? And your lavender marriage doesn’t count as love!”
“How silly, our wedding colors were green!” Elio chuckled, “But no sir, I too loved someone other than my wife which I could not have sex with.”
“Who the f*ck—” Glass realized, “Don’t tell me it’s Deidre? Your slave?”
“Well, the reason why I couldn’t have sex with him is because he is a slave,” Elio shrugged, “I feel like I would be taking advantage of him… like I am using my power as Master to take his body for myself. My father did, and his father before that… they have many b*stard children. Well, I simply don’t want to do the same to a friend I love dearly.”
Glass softened his face. “You… really love the guy?”
“Despite my parent’s rules, I still highly regard him,” Elio said. “I send flowers and books to his room, and any gifts I provide my wife I do the same to him; as my closest friend.”
Oh. Glass isn’t sure what to think of Elio now. This strange racist man seemed to be in love with a slave. He can’t help but listen as Elio said;
“I couldn’t pursue him, no. Not romantically, not sexually. But I waited… I promoted him to a rank that elevated him above the other slaves.. Maybe then… he will see me as less of a Master and more of a…” Elio got choked up on his words, “… friend.”
“Elio?” Glass stepped closer to him, watching a tear roll down his face. “You’re… crying.”
“Oh dear, I don’t know why,” the man said, wiping his cheek. “Maybe I miss my dear friend Deidre. Ahh, I shall write a letter to him! Surely by now he has his own land and—”
“Elio,” Glass said, “Deidre’s dead… isn’t he?”
Elio looked at him in disbelief, truly forgetting the friend who is no longer in this world. “Deidre… dead? Don’t be silly Sir, why would he be, ha ha ha ha!”
“You told me. But… I don’t know, maybe he isn’t …” Glass softly said this time, remembering Elio still has dementia. “You should write to him. I’ll send him the letter, yes?”
“Brilliant idea! I have so much to tell him! About how black people can have their own slaves now, yes! I will tell him about Sir Redd!” Elio ran off to his room, leaving Glass with a heavy feeling in his heart.
He loved a slave… but can’t bring himself to exploit him. Glass lived as a prostitute before vampirism. What if Evie still thinks of me as a prostitute? Is that why he won’t sleep with me?
Things start to tumble inside Glass’ mind, and it’s making the portraits in the hallways shake. He thinks of me as disgusting used up wh*re he doesn’t want to exploit. How f*cking dare he… HOW F*CKING DARE—
All of the portraits’ glass cover broke because of how hard Glass is curling his fists.
By the time Evie reached his bedroom, Glass was already sat on the bed, legs crossed with wine in his hands. The pale vampire gleamed at the sight of his beautiful siren lover. “How was the lesson, my love? Just tell me when to kill the slaveowner and I shall bring his head for you to f*ck…”
“If anyone is killing Elio, it’s me…” Glass hummed, “I’d like to relax, now. I’m not in the mood for feeding with the others.”
“That’s perfectly fine,” Evie sighed, walking towards the wine table for his own glass, “I’ll spend the evening with you. It’s been so long… ahh, we’ve run out of wine.”
Glass suddenly appeared behind him, a whiff of his vanilla butter-scented cashmere seducing Evie. “What’s mine is yours.”
Evie turns around and kisses Glass first and foremost, before the siren offers his wine to his lover. Evie takes a huge gulp, before once again kissing Glass with alcohol-stained lips. “You don’t know how much I wanted to take you away from Elio… I understand throwing him to a tree, but sharing laughs with him, really? What could you possibly be smiling at him for, hmm?”
“Elio is funny,” Glass leaves the wine with him and turns around to unbutton his shirt. “He says the dumbest things only the dumbest would get angry at. He mentioned he doesn’t want to piss off Africans because they may tell their pet lions to attack him. Honestly, I wish I had a pet lion.”
Evie laughed, the alcohol going straight to his brain. “We have Leo, my darling. He’s more of an animal especially with Satan controlling him.”
“I don’t need a pet lion,” Glass turned around, watching the alcohol going straight to Evie’s nerves. His green eyes grow wide as his limbs fail him, realizing the wine—”I can punish those who piss me off myself.”
Evie dropped the wine glass, but Glass caught his hands in a second. “See, the thing with mushrooms… is that I learned which one I can eat, and which one I can give to others. Do you know what they’re called? Wood-lovers.”
“Wh—” Evie can barely speak as even his facial muscles had gotten paralyzed, but since he was a vampire himself he managed to overcome some paralysis in the face and hands. “Why… the F*CK—?!”
Glass lifted him up and used his speed to lay Evie on the bed, suddenly tying up his wrists to the steel headboard.
“H-hey, darling, why are you—doing this—?! Ugh, even while mad you look stunning—ow! Watch the bracelet!” A powerful vampire such as Evie fought against the paralysis and could now move his arms slightly, but not yet in full control. “Ah… you didn’t need to paralyze me, I could’ve let you tie me up had you said so!”
Glass looked terrifyingly unhappy as he straddled Evie’s stomach, further unbuttoning his shirt until it separates to show off his slender-lean body. “If I tell you to f*ck me, would you? My darling?”
He sneered that name like wiping sh*t off his boots. Evie was heavily offended.
“Baby, we talked about this. We are not compatible sexually—”
“You topped Jude with great pleasure. You have no excuse not to do the same to me!” Glass yelled, making a slight tremor on the ground enough to make the hanging lamps sway.
“Calm down, my love. Do you want me to call Redd here and he’ll—”
“I don’t want Redd…” Glass reached back to undo Evie’s belt, making the paralyzed vampire below him panic. “I want you. I’ve always wanted you…”
“Glass… don’t do this… you know I can’t do this!”
“I do know. Because you still see me as a prostitute. No matter the hundred years we’ve exchanged love confessions together… you’ll always see yourself as my customer whenever I strip in front of you! That’s why you won’t sleep with me!”
“That is not the reason—! At first, yes I couldn’t bring myself to use you for my pleasure. I’ve wanted so much to make love to you, but I had to do it in a different way! I still love you!”
“Then prove it…” Glass sneered, undoing his own belt to take Evie inside him, himself. “After all… what’s mine is yours, and all of you are mine. All of you. Including this…”
Evie’s tears start rolling off his eyes as he shakes his head, “Don’t do this… don’t f*cking do this! Don’t make me use my Restraining on you!”
“You can’t… you need hands for that,” Glass mutters, lifting himself off to remove his own pants. He leaned back, showing Evie how prepared and nicely loosened up he is, ready for their first honeymoon. “Look… I’m so wet… you’ve fingered me before, but that wasn’t what I wanted inside me. No… you had to leave me to be f*cked by other men.”
“I can’t f*ck you Glass, get off me!”
“Don’t be silly, yes you can. You did Jude,” Glass moans from three fingers inside him now. He imagined that was his boyfriend stretching him out. “I’ve wanted you for a century, Evie… watching you f*ck Jude was the last straw. You should’ve done that to me first.”
Glass straightened himself to line Evie’s c*ck into his hole, horribly aroused because of his beauty even if it’s against the owner’s will. Evie had to close his eyes and beg to the only person who will ever hear him like this.
“Please don’t, please—I DON’T WANT YOU TO BE ONE OF THEM! Please! Please don’t my love, please!” Evie cried out, tears overfilling his face while his nose remains red. Glass paused, curious to the them Evie doesn’t want him to become.
“Them?”
“Them… all of them… all who used me for their f*cking pleasure!” Evie, now able to move, surrendered himself to Glass, just as he always had. “Sex is not love to me, Glass. Sex is not love… it’s nothing but a way for people to use others for their satisfaction. We are being used for our blood, our powers, our body. If I sleep with you, you’ll become one of them…”
“Used you?” Glass whispered, confused.
“They all did… Pryce, Archer—all of them! They are nothing but tools to me, the same way they use me!” Evie loooked up at his goddess, “You are not one of them, Glass! My love for you is real, beyond sex, beyond using each other’s body.”
Glass looked down at him, still confused and hurt that Evie rejects him till the very end. There was no other choice: Evie has to confess.
“Forgive me, my love, for I have sinned…” he cried to his lover, “My mother used me because I looked the most like my father… ever since then, I’ve only seen sex as a disgusting act of exploiting another. I have exploited, I’ve been exploited. Everyone who has touched me, I see them all as disposable f*ck pillows—”
“But Jude—”
“Jude was a power play against Leo, I just wanted to f*ck what he thought was his!” Evie yelled out another confession, “And yes, I found out I love f*cking him—I am exploiting him, Glass! I am using him! He is nothing to me while you are everything to me! Please…”
Evie’s voice sounds as broken as his heart is, “Don’t be like them… don’t be one of them.”
