Chapter 7

Jungkook stirs in his sleep when his phone rings loudly next to his pillow. With closed eyes he finds his phone and receives the call without looking at the caller id.

“Hello!” he speaks with his sleepy voice.

“Sir are you still sleeping? Oh my god! It’s 1 pm. Come to the company first. I’m sitting with a stack of singles for you to sign for last 4 hours. and you still haven’t showed up. You even have a performance at the afternoon remember? We got new microphones and mics for your performance. We need to taste that too…” the voice on the other side speaks in one breath.

Jungkook frowns and opens his one eyes a little bit to check the number as he couldn’t recognise the voice. But he finds an unknown number.

“Who is it?” he asks confusedly.

The other person graps loudly as if jungkook has asked “who is my father?”.
” sir you can’t recognise me? I’m taehyung. I have been working with you for two weeks now. I’m the one who bought you an ointment when you burnt your body. I also got food from you but you rejected saying you Don’t accept foods from poor people. Remember sir?”

Jungkook sighs. “This live radio…” he murmurs under his breath. “Who gave you my number?” he asks.

“I have my ways. Please come fast. You have lots of works and if i sit lazily in your absense they Won’t pay me. I Don’t want to lose my hard earned money.” saying taehyung hangs up.

Jungkook throws his phone on the bed and yawns. Then he sits up lazily. Yesterday he had a huge fight with his girlfriend and after that he drank a lot. He sighs knowing he is late.

He moves in the dark and switches up the light of the room. He lives alone in his luxurious 3 story large mansion which is located in the most expensive area of seoul. He has earned everything with his own hard work.

He brushes his teeth and hurriedly puts on some clothes. He is having terrible headache and he needs to eat something then have a pain killer but right now he doesn’t have anything to eat. So he leaves like that.

When he is taking out his car from the garage his phone rings again.

“Who is it?” he says receiving the call as the number is unknown.

“Oh my god just 20 minutes ago i called you. You again forgot?” taehyung’s frustrated voice can be heard.

“Why Are you calling me?” jungkook asks with annoyed voice.

“I was just checking if you are still sleeping. Come fast sir.” then taehyung hangs up the call.

Jungkook sighs loudly and saves the number with “live radio” because he doesn’t remember the name of the boy.

When he reaches to the company he finds everyone one is busy about the upcoming performance in 5 hours. Yesterday he was fighting with his girlfriend in the company and the old workers and the manager knew he would drink a lot. So they didn’t disturb him knowing jungkook would reach in time. But taehyung decided to interven in his peace.

“Send me some less spicy food and a pain killer. Hurry up.” he says particularly to no one because food will reach him on time.

He directly goes to the room where mostly he works and takes of his jacket. He needs to practice a bit but before that he needs to eat.

“Oh sir you look so dead. Makeup artist noona needs to put a shop of make up on your face today..!” he hears a comment from behind.

He doesn’t bother to turn around because he knows who it is.

“Bring food for me. Hurry up.” he says sitting on a chair.

“On it sir!” saying taehyung leaves the room with bullet speed.

In the mean time his stylist girl comes with his outfit for today’s performance and decides to do trails.

When taehyung comes back with food, he sees the idol is standing there wearing a black tight pant and bare upper body. And the stylist girl is measuring something around his shoulder.

“Shameless. Has a girlfriend still works with female stylists like this. If he was my boyfriend i would beat his ass. My hubby would never go close to someone else..!” taehyung speaks on his own. “Sir, you food. And painkiller too.” he says placing the bowl of food on the table and leaves from there.

“Taehyung? What did you plan?” the girl staff yuna asks suddenly with Whom taehyung has a bet. Currently they are sitting in a staff room.

“You Won’t believe what i prepared… ” taehyung speaks with a biggest smile and pulls out an envelop from his bag.

“What is it?” yuna asks. She takes the envelop from taehyung’s hand and opens it. There a paper inside the envelop. Yuna stares at the paper with big frowns but after a minute she widens his eyes. “That’s marriage paper?”

Taehyung nods his head enthusiastically. “Yes. I and my hubby are planning to get married very soon. So i went to marriage register office to gather information. Then i thought why Don’t i do practice a little before jumping into the real marriage. So i got wedding papers and I’ll trick sir into signing them.” he says with big laugh.

“Tae..these are real papers. It has all the information about sir jungkook and you. If he actually signs then you two will get married for real?”

Taehyung shakes. “No.. These are just procedures. After signing if i submit it for registration then it will be real marriage. Without registration it Won’t work. I will Just get sir’s signature then dump it. It will be fun. If he signs a marriage paper without reading then it will prove he is illiterate and dumb. That’s why i printed it.” saying taehyung laughs.

“Sir Won’t signature ever. Get ready to be fired. If he finds out It’s a marriage paper you will ne doomed.” yuna says shaking his head.

“I’ll be cautious. Ill put these papers under the stack of other papers. If i see him checking other papers I’ll immediately hide this one.” taehyung tells his plan.

At 5 pm, jeon jungkook and the team leaves for the venue where he has a performance. He has to shoot an online interview and performance for an american talk show which he can’t attend in person for some visa related problem.

Taehyung stands with crew in front of camera with a disbelief face. Never in his life he saw someone as fake as jeon jungkook. The idol is cutely talking, smiling big showing his all 32 teeth, making jokes in the interview with the talk show mc. But in real life taehyung has never seen him smiling, let alone seeing his teeth. Only time taehyung saw his teeth when a fish bone was stuck with jungkook’s teeth couple of days ago and the idol was struggling to remove it. That’s it.

Now seeing him sitting in the spot light wearing black professional dress, talking in English fluently, smiling, being extrovert- taehyung hits his forehead not believing his eyes. It’s the first time he is attending any shoot and now he doubts all the idols are like jeon jungkook.

They return to the company at 8 pm because they still have some papers and singles to sign for the fan meeting that is going to be held tomorrow.

Taehyung observes jeon jungkook closely. The idol looks beyond annoyed about something and arguing with someone in phone. Taehyung tries to listen to their conversation and what he understands that the idol is having a serious fight with his girlfriend and he is demanding break up. Taehyung clearly heard “I’m fcking breaking up things with you.” twice in 10 seconds.

Taehyung looks at the stack of papers he is holding. They are something related to the payment document and contract about a new collaboration with a united kingdom based singer. He Has inserted his papers too in the middle of the collaboration papers. Taehyung knows the ceo has already checked the papers earlier and still he is going to check again before signing so he needs to be cautious. He plans to use this time when the ceo is fighting with his girlfriend sitting on a room alone.

“Umm… Sir…” taehyung calls but the ceo doesn’t listen at all. He hears jungkook yelling “you can’t tell me what song i should do or not. It’s my career and i take the decision. Who the fuck are you to stop me from working with female singers? I’m done with you. I’m breaking up. Stop calling me.”

“Sir…” taehyung calls loudly. This time jungkook looks back at him with annoyed expression.

“You need to sign singles for fan meeting and the collaboration papers too.” taehyung says.

Without saying anything jungkook forwards his hand toward taehyung and taehyung hands him some singles and a black gel pen.

Taehyung sees the idol begins photo cards inside the singles one by one and then signatures. Taehyung narrows his eyes in disbelief. He is having a breakup argument with his gf but still checking things? He decides to observe jungkook for some more minutes and if the idol still keeps checking he will Just remove his papers. He doesn’t want to lose his job by getting Caught.

But after checking 8-10 singles, the argument intensifies and jungkook begins signaturing without checking. “Check the photo cards inside them.” he says to taehyung.

“Sir these are the collaboration and payment documents. Manager hyung said you already checked. He asked you to sign them.” taehyung says placing the paper in front of jungkook who is already having a mental breakdown because of his so called gf.
So Jungkook hangs up the call and begins checking the documents.

Taehyung widens his eyes. Now he is doomed. This man is still checking. He looks around nervously thinking what he should do to stop him so he can hide those papers but soon the idol’s phone rings Again. His gf is calling again.

Jungkook declines the call but the call rings again. He again declines it but it keeps ringing so angrily he picks it up.

“Why the fuck are you calling me? I said I’m breaking up means we are breaking up. Get this printed inside your thick skull.” jungkook roars on the phone and for a minute he stops checking the paper.

Taehyung decides to use this chance to remove the papers from there but as he tries to touch the papers, making him shocked the idol signs on the first page. Then he signs on the second page too.

With wide eyes taehyung stares at jungkook’s hand. He is having argument on phone and annoyingly signs all the papers without checking. Taehyung turns his head to yuna with open mouth who is seeing the scene unfolding in Front of her eyes with shocked eyes and wide mouth. Did jeon jungkook really signed?

When jungkook is done he removes his hand from the papers and taehyung almost snatches the papers and turns around to leave. When he has taken 2 steps, he hears jungkook’s voice.

“Listen!”

Taehyung turns around. “Yes sir?”

“Give me the papers. I maybe saw something extra there.” saying jungkook hangs up the call, blocks his now ex girlfriend’s number. Taehyung hands him the papers again because why not since he has already removed those extra papers from there.

“What did you notice sir?” taehyung innocently asks the idol, who is now going through each page.

Jungkook doesn’t answer. But he feels like he saw something like marriage, legal wedding, jeon jungkook, kim and some more words somewhere which are completely unrelated to his work. His eyes just fell on the words randomly but he was too busy to have the final break up with his girlfriend that he couldn’t stable his mind to check it. But now searching again, he doesn’t find anything so he hands back those papers to taehyung and goes to the bathroom to freshen up.

As soon as jungkook leaves taehyung bursts in laughter. “I told you noona i could do it. Loom he signed. Now you owe me one ramen and rwo gimbap every night before going home. I won!” taehyung says with his biggest smile.

Yuna shakes his head. “If you get into trouble Don’t ever name me.” she says.

“Chill noona. Nothing will happen. I’ll just dump these papers before going home.” taehyung says with a laugh.
