Chapter 36

“Why did you call us so desperately? Is something wrong?” jeon jungkook’s father asks to his son as soon as they reach to the idol’s house.

Yesterday jungkook called his parents and asked them to comd to Seoul as soon as possible. So now they are here.

“Sit first. Then Let’s talk.” jungkook says after greeting his parents. All of them seat on the living room couch.

“You know taehyung… ” the idol begins..

“Who’s that?” his mother asks.

“That boy who made me sign wedding papers..” jungkook answers.

“What happened son? Is he blackmailing you?” his father asks..

Jungkook shakes his head. “Listen first.. So two days ago his father called me and asked me to send divorce paper for him as soon as possible.” he says.

“That’s good… Just send him the papers soon and get rid of him.” mrs jeon says.

“You wanted 10 millions. Did they pay you?” mr jeon asks.

“No, his father arranged half of the money but i didn’t accept it.”

“If you wouldn’t accept then why did you even want the money? I can’t understand anything gguk.” mrs jeon says.

“Eomma, listen… I..um…I kind of like that boy…” the idol says looking down embarrassingly.

Both of his parents stay silent and look at each other. “So?” mrs jeon asks carefully.

“I Don’t want to divorce him.” jungkook says fidgeting his nails in nervousness.

His mother stares at him for at least 5 minutes. Then she speaks, “you are not being reasonable right now gukk. You had a few relations before but you Couldn’t continue them for more than 2 years and some of them lasted only a few months. Now you say you Don’t want to divorce the boy with who you randomly got married maybe two or three months ago? Do you understand what you are saying?” she sounds concerned.

Jungkook stays silent looking down. “I know.. But eomma i promise i really like him and It’s different from my past relationship. Everything feels different…” he says with a small voice.

“How’s it different?” his mother asks.

Jungkook sighs deeply. It’s kind of embarrassing for him to talk about his not so good past relationships like this, but he needs to talk with his parents about it openly.

“Look, all my past relations Were with girls who were actresses or singers or models. It was like we met in award shows or any party or through our mutual friends, exchanged numbers, had conversations over the phones, had gone to dates and liked each others company, so we stayed in a relationship. There was so prior feelings toward them. All my relations had the same pattern. I was only looking for a good company. Yeah i definitely liked them but i never felt any strong feeling toward them that i could feel any love like emotions for them. Dating people who are already in the entertainment industry has been a wrong choice for me always. That’s why i could not continue any of those relations. All of them felt so formal, trying their best to maintain their personalities, aura even when we were alone. Not going to lie, but i did the same. I was also maintaining my so called idol personality in front of them. That’s where things went wrong every time. Everything felt so febricated, not natural. I wanted to escape my stress of working all the time being an idol but those relations felt too serious for me and did nothing to remove my stress.. But now i feel different.. ” the idol explains, keeping his head down.

“And how that boy is different from all of these? Because he is a normal person?” his mother asks.

“Because he is crazy… I mean yeah being a normal person gives him advantage of behaving so reckless. I Have never seen him faking anything. Like he really shows what he is From inside and outside. And he makes me feel different- different in a way that i haven’t felt before. I Don’t know how to say.. But like..um… I like him around me, i want to see him always and these feelings work really strongly for him unlike my past relations. He gives me headache lots of times, but makes me feel good too. He makes my heart beat so high.. So high and makes my chest feel so warm that i haven’t felt something like this toward anyone i swear eomma…” he says, looking at his mother with his big doe eyes.

His parents stay silent, letting him continue.

“I Don’t have to be the perfect idol all the time, i Don’t have to be serious at all. I can behave the way i want, i can talk the way i want. He is a crackhead and his personality is so crazy that he genuinely makes me laugh- when i could rarely laugh freely in my past relations. I Don’t feel stress when he is around me, he makes me smile always… I Don’t know how to explain everything but i Don’t have to pretend anything in front of him. He doesn’t judge me.. He doesn’t judge anyone…” the idol stops when he suddenly remembers how taehyung has a habit of judging Every single thing in this world.. Like from being poor to having a less beautiful face than him.

Yeah he does judge everyone but his parents Don’t need to know it… At least for now.

“There’s a lot more things i feel for him that i can’t describe…” jungkook says. The greediness to touch taehyung even slightly, the need to hold his hand tightly when they are out, the need to appear as his partner and do all things for him when they are in public place, the greediness of holding authorities over taehyung in certain cases, the greediness to tame when he is acting crazy.

All of these are his masculine demands and needs that he wants to hold over taehyung. That should be only him, no one else.

All these feelings are extremely new for him, as he hasn’t feel all those before for anyone.

“So, what should we do now? Arrange your official wedding with him?” his father asks.

Jungkook laughs. “No, i need you two to visit his parents and tell them that i Don’t want to divorce him.” he says.

“Ehh? Why do you want us to tell them? Shouldn’t you tell them?” his mother says.

“How can i tell them? You are my parents. You should go and tell them.” jungkook says.

“He wants us to carry the marriage proposal to that boy’s Parents like the old days.” his father says looking at his mother. “But what if they reject saying they Don’t Like you? It will be a humiliations for us ggukie.” mr jeon says.

“Stop saying this.” jungkook says frustratingly. He doesn’t want to think that at all.

“Does that boy know that you like him?” his mother asks.

Jungkook shakes his head. Taehyung is surely going to demand money for this too. He already can imagine-

“But you only like him. Don’t love him right?” his mother asks.

“I have a very strong feeling for him eomma. I’m going to figure out the rest soon too.” the idol answers.

“You are saying you Don’t want to divorce him even though it has Been only 2 or 3 months. Are you sure it will last? Aren’t you taking decision so soon? What if it doesn’t last long like your previous relationships?” his father asks.

Jungkook thinks for sometimes. He has thought about it too, a lots of times actually. “If i Don’t give it a chance then how would i know what’s going to happen? Appa, i really like him and want him with me. I’m telling you i feel all the new and different feelings and emotions toward him that i haven’t felt before. I really want to give it a try. I’ll try my best too to keep things stable. I know if i continue to be like before then it will be my fault for not putting any effort. But believe me, this time I’m really going to do everything and put my all efforts for him. I genuinely feel strong for him.” he says.

His mother touches his cheeks softly with her two hands. “You like him that much?” she asks. She knows about all of jungkook’s previous relationships but never her son talked about anyone like this. He has never mentioned of liking someone this desperately, putting efforts. Now he is being so serious about it that now he wants to involve them too.

Jungkook nods his head. “A lot, he is a little bit crazy but i think i can work on it too. He is just built different..” he says. He knows for taehyung he needs to do or face things that he hasn’t done before or imagined too.

For example, he has never involved his parents in his relationships. But now he is about to send his parents to taehyung’s house with an indirect marriage proposal like an arranged marriage thing. Something he hasn’t thought he would do in his life for anyone.

“Okay. When should we go?” his mother asks.

“His father is in office right now. He comes back at 6 pm. So around 7 pm is right time.” ths idol says.

“Does that boy know that we are going?” mr jeon asks.

Jungkook shakes his head. “He doesn’t need to know. Also i couldn’t contact him for two days. Most probably his father locked him in his room and isn’t letting him using his phone. His phone is switched off for two days.” he says.

“Why?” mrs jeon frowns.

“His sister has a relation with a boy and now she is pregnant. So he is affected by this situation too. His father has most probably locked him and now wants to marry him off.” jungkook explains. Since taehyung left his house the day before yesterday, he couldn’t contact with him at all. So he is guessing that taehyung doesn’t have his phone right now.

“Ehh? Why would that girl do something like this?” mrs jeon says with a disappointed voice.

“That’s not my matter what his sister is doing.” jungkook answers.

“Okay but does he like you too?” she asks.

“I Don’t know. He is kind of tricky. But if he doesn’t like me that i have another option too.” jungkook says with a small smirk. he is rich. Taehyung is going to date him either way if he (jk) proposes him. But he doesn’t want money to be involved here. He wants Taehyung to like him genuinely, very genuinely like he does from his heart.

It’s past 7 pm currently and a black car stops in front of taehyung’s apartment. It’s none other than jeon jungkook coming here to drop his parents.

“It’s 6th floor, apartment no 6-B, just ring the calling bell ” jungkook says.

“If they reject and humilate us, I’m going to break your bones ggukie.” his mother says as she gets down from the car with her husband.

“I’ll be waiting here eomma.. You will find me here.” the idol says. He parks his car beside the street on a place from where he can see taehyung’s room. Maybe he is going to stare at taehyung’s window. He doesn’t know which one is taehyung’s window but he has a guess. Through the window he sees the room has It’s light on.

On the other hand Jungkook’s father rings the calling bell of the apartment 6-B and waits for someone to open the door.

After some moments, the door gets opened revealing a woman.

“Yes? Who do you want?” the woman asks politely. These unknown people looks so familiar to her.

“Does kim taehyung lives here?” mr jeon asks.

“Yes. I’m his mother. What do you need from him?” the woman says.

“We are jungkook’s parents. The idol jeon jungkook. Your son made him sign wedding papers. We want to talk about it.” jungkook’s mother says.

“Oh.. Come inside please.” saying taehyung’s mother moves aside from the gate to let jungkook’s parents enter inside.

Taehyung’s father, who is sitting on the living room and talking with someone on his phone, hangs up the call and stands up seeing two unknown people in his house.

“They are jeon jungkook’s parents. They want to talk with us.” taehyung’s mother says to her husband. “Please have seats.” she says pointing toward the sofa.

Mr kim greets them politely and sits in front of him. Mrs kim sits beside him too.

“About what do you want to talk?” mr kim asks.

“Regarding the marriage of taehyung and jungkook. Actually jungkook has sent us here. He said you asked him for the divorce paper.” mr jeon begins.

Mr kim nods. “Yes. I’m deeply sorry for my son’s action. Jungkook ssi demanded money so i was trying to arrange it. But then one day jungkookssi said he doesn’t want the money. I was thinking about the divorce matter since that day but didn’t voice it out because i thought it would be so rude and disrespectful if i ask for it right after jungkook ssi withdrew the compensation case. So i was waiting for some days. Honestly i thought jungkook ssi would proceed about it on his own but when he didn’t i thought he was busy with his works. That’s the ano reason why i was silent. But now i really can’t help. I’m sorry if i come out rude, but my son is growing and I’m searching groom for him. This is why I’m asking for it.” taehyung’s father explains.

“I understand. But we are here with another purpose mr kim.” Mr jeon says.

“What purpose?” taehyung’s father asks.

“Jungkook said he has some personal feelings for taehyung. I mean he likes taehyung and does not want to divorce him or leave him..that’s why he has sent us here.” mr jeon says.

Hearing this taehyung’s parents exchange glances Between them with equally surprised faces. The living room falls into silence for a whole minute before mr kim speaks.

“Um.. Does taehyung know about it?” mr kim asks, hesitantly.

“No, jungkook wants it to keep a secret from taehyung too. He said he Isn’t sure what taehyung thinks about him or feel about him. So according to him, It’s better if taehyung doesn’t know anything about all these and figures about his Feelings naturally – i mean either he likes jungkook too or dislikes him.” mrs jeon speaks.

Taehyung’s parents stay silent for a long time to understand the situation.

“Is your son serious about taehyung?” taehyung’s mother asks.

“A lot. He said he genuinely likes taehyung and wants to take things further. So instead of him coming here, he called us from busan and told us everything and sent us here. I promise my son is really serious about taehyung. I’m his mother, i understand him easily.” mrs jeon says.

“But i Don’t think It’s a good idea. I Don’t want my son associate with any famous person.” mr kim says instantly.

“Umm… Can we know the reason why you think like this?” mrs jeon asks.

“It’s rare that famous people can stay with one person forever. Don’t get me wrong, but in entertainment industry people easily get into relationships or break up, they get married and then divorce. I Don’t want that for my child. I want him to have a safe and forever future.” mr kim says.

Mrs jeon nods. “I understand your concern. But mr kim, It’s not like we want taehyung and jungkook to start family right now. All we are asking you to give them some time. Jungkook wants to give his marriage with taehyung a chance. He has feelings for taehyung and doesn’t want to divorce him, hoping to find out their true feelings for each other. We are not going to force you or taehyung. Please think it like a marriage proposal- i mean let taehyung have his time too. If he does like jungkook then maybe he can choose what to do, of course with the help of you two. But if taehyung still doesn’t like jungkook, It’s completely okay. We can just proceed the divorce paper then. But it Won’t harm to give them some times to figure out things right? My son is already into taehyung and all we need to know taehyung’s perspective. Everything depends on you and taehyung. Please think about it. My son has sent us thinking if we adults talk about this then it will be better. He could directly ask taehyung out too. But your son is still so young and jungkook thought before he takes any decision, he should get permission from you two. That’s why we are here. Jungkook really likes taehyung and wants to give this marriage a chance. I promise he is going to put his all efforts, he is going to do his best to make things work. He said he was spending times with taehyung too sometimes and he really liked taehyung. So please give it a thought.” mrs jeon says very politely.

“Please think and give my son a chance. If you Don’t like him or taehyung finds problem with him, you can just back away anytime.” mr kim says.

“Please give me some times. I need to think. It’s the matter of my son’s future. I can’t take decision abruptly. ” mr kim says to them.

“If we go back without any answer, jungkook will be so disappointed.” mr jeon says. Jungkook told them thousands time to make taehyung’s father agree anyhow. “You can ask taehyung about my son too. Then you will know my child is not bad. He doesn’t have any bad intention. If he had then he would not sent us here. He said your opinion matters most in this case.” she continues.

Mr kim sighs. “You go and bring some snacks for them.” he says. He needs to think about everything. So after his wife goes to kitchen, he excuses Himself and follows her too. He needs to discuss with his wife.

“What do you think? Is jungkook good person?” mr kim asks his wife.

“I do think he is good. Or else why would he send his parents here?” mrs kim says.

“How do you know they are his real parents? What if jungkook has hired them to send here? What if they are fraud?” mr kim asks suspiciously.

Mrs kim laughs slightly. “They aren’t fraud. I have seen then on the internet. They Are really jungkook’s parents. Also, i really Don’t think jungkook is bad. Taehyung said he went out with him a few times and he hasn’t noticed any suspicious behaviour of jungkook. If he was bad and had bad intention, taehyung would never see him again after noticing his bad intention. So i think give it a chance. That day when jungkook came here for dinner, he behaved good too…” she says.

“I can’t understand anything.” mr kim says frustratingly.

“Think for sometimes and let them know.” mrs kim says.

On the other hand taehyung is leaning with the window of his room and munching his 8th sneaker bar. He has been locked himself in this room willingly for two days to avoid his father. When his father goes to office, he comes out to watch tv and have his meals. And before his father comes back, he locks Himself again. He hasn’t seen his father or talked to him since he came back From jungkook’s house. He willingly gave his phone to his parents and his father kept it somewhere he couldn’t find. (Willingly because if he hadn’t give his phone, his father would beat the shit out of him while taking the phone from him).

Before coming back jungkook has bought him lots of instant foods, for at least a week. But since he is always jobless inside his room, he spends his time by eating. He Has eaten too much sweet snacks in these two days that his teeth started paining. Now he has run out of his foods. only 3 packets of chips, 2 packets or biscuits and 2 sneakers bar are left. He is in deep tension thinking how he Will survive now.

And now From the last few minutes he is observing a man standing on the street in front of a car, a bit away from their apartment. The man is wearing a bucket hat and a mask, a lot looking like jeon jungkook. And the person is directly looking at him too. So he is observing closely, trying to see if It’s jungkook or not.

If the man was closer to their apartment building he could easily recognise him. But he is standing a bit far away and he can’t understand anything in darkness.

Suddenly something comes in his mind and he searches something under his bed. Soon he finds a shopping bag and a bundle of rope. He ties the bag with the rope and throws the bag outside through his window. He also puts a small piece of paper inside the bag. He keeps lowering the bag slowly with the help of the rope.

As he lowers the bag, Taehyung sees the person is walking toward their apartment building while staring at him. Now he grins big. It’s definitely jungkook who has been noticing him lowering the bag down and coming to check.

The idol has been staring at the window for so long and at one time he noticed a figure near the window. And he immediately recognised the boy. Then he saw taehyung dropping a bag and thought that must be for him since he has noticed taehyung was looking at him too before dropping it.

As the bag passes down the first floor and comes down Enough for jungkook’s reach, the idol gripd it and shoves his hand inside to check if taehyung has kept something here. He finds a piece of papet.

“If you are jungkook sir, dance to your seven song.”

The piece of paper says. Jungkook sighs with a done face. He can just simply write if you are jungkook sir wave your hand or something like this. But it says dance to seven song? Taehyung is definitely crazy.

Jungkook waves at taehyung from there but no response comes. Then jungkook takes off his mask to show his face to taehyung but still no response.
the place where jungkook is standing now, It’s Directly under taehyung’s window so he can’t see the boy’s face properly. But Can’t taehyung see him too? Maybe because of darkness?

Does the boy really want him to dance in the middle of people walking around him? Jungkook carefully looks around. There are at least 7-8 people around him. He waits for the people to leave.

And then when the place becomes empty for a few seconds, he hurriedly does some steps of his song seven. And immediately two hands come out of the grill of the window and claps loudly. So now he has recognized jungkook.

Then taehyung begins pulling the bag up using the rope. And then two minutes later the bag again comes down. Jungkook again shoves his hand inside to check and he finds another piece of paper.

“Oh emm gggee thank god you are here sir. My foods are running out. Buy me some foods and put inside the bag. Chicken fries must. I’m waiting.”

The note says.

Jungkook stares at the paper for at least two minutes. He thought taehyung would write about missing him or something like this.

With a very deep sigh, he turns around and walks toward his car. He gets inside the car and drives to the nearby convenience shop. And 10 minutes later he comes back.

He sees the bag is still hanging there, so he puts half those foods he bought inside the bag bcz all foods can’t fit there at once. When he is done he shows a thumbs up to taehyung and the boy begins pulling the bag up.

He sees a hand is taking Out things one by one from the bag and keeping inside bcz the bag Won’t fit through the grill of the window with all those foods.

Once taehyung is done taking foods out from the bag, he lets the bag down again to get the rest of the food.

When jungkook is about to put the foods inside the bag again, he finds another note.

“Sir, can you buy me a phone please? My father seized my phone and I’m feeling so bored in my room. I’m waiting. Get me a phone. I prefer a television but it Won’t fit through my window. So buy me a phone, please sir.”

Jungkook grits his teeth and crashes the paper into a ball and throws it away. Then He puts those foods inside the bag and then pulls up.

Jungkook keeps standing there thinking taehyung will drop the bag again saying thank you or sayimh something sweet. But this time no bag comes. He only sees a hand waving at him. He sighs and goes back to his car. Since his car is a bit away from the building, he can see taehyung’s room clearly from here. He notices taehyung is still standing by the window and waving at him.

A smile appears on jungkook’s lips and he waves back. He stares at taehyung leaning to his car. He guesses taehyung is eating something. As he stares continuously, he doesn’t notice when his parents have come back and standing behind him, looking at him with a confused face- trying to find out at which Their son is looking at.

“Gguk?”‘ mrs jeon calls, placing her hands on jungkook’s shoulder. The idol flinches by the sudden touch and turns around.

” what are you looking at?” she asks.

“Nothing… What did his parents say?” jungkook asks instantly seeing his parents.

“Omo you are so desperate! This is the first thing you ask?” his mother speaks.

“Eommma tell me how did it go? Did they agree?” the idol sounds really impatient.

“His father is a very tough man. He was making fuss about people from entertainment Industry having multiple wives or husbands or girlfriends boyfriends. He made us seat for whole 40 minutes alone to take his decisions. We had to beg…” his mother says shaking her head.

“Just tell me what did they say…” jungkook asks again.

“Stop being so impatient. And yeah he agreed. But said if taehyung doesn’t like you or they find anything negative about you, he will never let you see taehyung Again.” mr jeon says.

Jungkook smiles under his mask. That’s it. They agreed. Now he will take things on his hands.
