Chapter 18

Dante and Ashvik went to the terrace to chat and relax,

Ashvik: (hesitantly)Umm.. Dante why were you here , I mean what business, because I kind of heard some of the conversation, and I am confused.

Dante :(lifting a brow) Jaan you know na it’s a bad habit to eavesdrop on people’s conversation right?

Ashvik: I..I was not eavesdropping ,really! I was coming there to ask about something (pouting)when I heard it. Tell na what I asked.

Dante : Nothing that you should worry about jaan . It’s Just the rivals are planning something against our families, nothing serious ofcourse but we are not going to take risk , we will eliminate the risk together.

Ashvik: oh.. okay but..be careful ok I don’t want you getting hurt.

Dante : haww you care about me hmm .

Ashvik: (blushing like crazy) ofcourse . ….you ….you ..are …my …. Bestie’s brother…..if something happens to you she will be heartbroken.

Dante : Really? But then too here I thought you care about me (pouting) but whatever you are my jaan and that’s final .

Ashvik: just let’s go downstairs or everyone will come for us .

Saying this Ashvik ran downstairs not able to watch the loving look in Dante’s eyes .

They came downstairs only to see all three fighting over the tv remote,

Ansh : Naah movie toh mai hi lagaunga dekh lo ..

Xander : nope I am the one with best taste varna ye Avery ka taste toh aise hai jaise kisi pregnant women ki raat ki cravings like pickle with custard.

Avery: nice joke .. kyuki ab toh movie maine hi lagani hai dekhlo

Saying this Avery tried to snatch the remote from Ansh’s hand. And Ansh with all his grace started running around Xander with the remote and Avery behind.

Dante : what is happening? Kya circus laga rakha hai ?

Ansh: ye dono mujhe movie nhi lagane de rahe .

Xander: excuse me sir? You were going to put on a movie named Chakra ka Rakshak.
( AN. no offense to the movie )

Ashvik: wait what ? Chakra ka Rakshak, seriously bhai what kind of name is that ? Cliche.

Saying this all of them burst out laughing where , Dante was looking like a strict dad watching their naughty kids and trying to be irritated but is more amused with their antics .

Dante : okay stop it everyone, and Xander, Ave you can’t watch a movie today, we have to go house now! Varna late ho jayega.

Xander:( Whining) ohh par mujhe aur rukna tha .

Dante : Abhi chalo , phir sabke sath aa jana ya Ansh and Ashvik hamare Ghar aa jayenge.if that’s Okay.

Avery: fine !

Then they all bid goodbye to each other and The trio also bid byes to their brothers , then they all left for their Home, Ashvik and Ansh also decided to go and sleep as tomorrow was going to be a heck of hectic day as their Father was coming back.

Next Morning 🌄 (Sunday)

It was 4 o’clock in the morning but sleep was nowhere to be found in Ashvik’s eyes, so he woke up and decided to go for a morning run , deciding that he left his bed and done his morning routine , then he went out for a run .

After running for a hour he came back and went to get freshed up , and Then he went to grab some breakfast as it was time to eat ,he reached half the stairs when suddenly he started to feel sudden dizziness, because of which he had to sit on the floor only because the feeling was so overwhelming that he can’t keep standing in such situation. When Abhimanyu came from behind ,

Abhimanyu: what are you doing by sitting here Ashvik?

Ashvik: oh … nothing bhai just sitting.

Abhimanyu:(raising a brow) on the staircase?

Ashvik: yeah it’s a good place. Let’s go and have some breakfast ok .

Abhimanyu: yeah .. but if something is going on tell me first.

Ashvik: yeah.

In breakfast table ✨🩷

Ansh : Here you both come, you know from how long we both are waiting for you to come.

Abhimanyu: Aaj suraj kaha se nikla hoga , tum dono yaha pehle kaise ?

Armaan:(sheepishly smiling) woh ..Aaj papa as rahe the na toh isiliye.

Abhimanyu: Oh . .. okay. And Ansh how is your cricket training going?

Ansh : Fine bhaiya

Ansh : Umm Armaan bhai pata hai aaj na main aapke hath se khaunga khana because mere hath dard ho rahe hai .

Armaan : (lifting a brow)And why do you think Mai mehnat karunga tumko khilane me ?

Ansh : because you love me dumbo !

Armaan : okay.. okay

Ashvik’s phone rang gaining everyones attention, he was going to cut the call but couldn’t seeing the id so he just picked up after asking his brothers for permission, and his brothers were trying so bad not to look interested into his conversation but were failing miserably as their whole attention was on what Ashvik was talking as they cannot hear the other side convo and Ashvik was also not talking properly because of that.

In Call 🤙

Dante✨: good morning shiv .

Ashvik: (mumbling)good morning.

Dante ✨: today is Sunday.

Ashvik: hmm i know.

Dante✨: And I miss you Jaan . I want to meet you can I come? From balcony ofcourse.

Ashvik was trying very hard not to blush because his brothers were watching him but he managed to calmly reply to Dante ignoring the flutter in his chest as Dante was being so clingy as they have met yesterday night only but then too can he do something about it? Nope .

Ashvik: ok .

Dante✨ : ok .ok thankyou shiv. I will come okay, you are not going anywhere today right?

Ashvik: no , okay bye bye. I am eating now .

Saying this he cut the call hastily.

After this Armaan fed Ansh and then everyone completed their food and now they were waiting to welcome their father in the living room.

After 20 mins the bell rang and Ansh ran to open the door and others too went to welcome their father .

Ansh: Welcome home papa ! I missed you so.so much.

Armaan : welcome papa !

Abhimanyu/Ashvik: welcome father.

They all welcomed their father then Ashvik was standing and watching when Kabeer came and hugged Abhimanyu, Ansh and Armaan and kissed their foreheads like a loving father but ignored the mere existence of him . He felt like crying but he knew it was just the start, because as a child too he can feel cold indifference towards himself but with time that indifference changed into cruel remarks.

After meeting they all sat in the living room to talk .

Kabeer: Abhimanyu and Armaan how is everything going with our business. I hope you are managing this branch perfectly without me .

Abhimanyu: everything is going great father.

Armaan: (cockily) yess nothing I can’t take care of .

Kabeer : Good . And what about you Ansh how is everything going? Your cricket selections are coming right ?

Ansh: Everything is going great papa i already told you na in the call , or wait you forgot?

Kabeer: no ..no baby how can I forget baccha ofcourse. I know how great my baby is .

Ansh : (mock anger ) Hmmm good.good.

Kabeer : And you boy ! What did you do now ? What new problems you created for your brothers .

Ashvik: Nothing father, i didn’t do anything.

Kabeer: that’s the problem you don’t do anything at all because you are Useless right?

Ashvik: (in the verge of crying) no..no.its not like that.

Ansh : (angry)why are you saying like this dad he is not useless, and Ashvik why don’t you tell him about your achievement as an Lead dancer of our school.

Kabeer: Dancer ? , so is this what you are doing now ? Hmph don’t you feel bad huh ? Just embarrassing your brothers and family , dancing like girls.

Ashvik was feeling like he might passout any second he was having difficulty in breathing, so he apologized and left for his room Hastily almost tripping over his own feet .

After he went Abhimanyu spoke

Abhimanyu: Stop it dad please..how long? Ha how long you are going to torture him . Please stop it now .

Kabeer: shut up ! Or do you want me reminding you who is the head here and I know what I am doing I don’t need you telling me what to do .

Ansh : (hesitantly) dad please he is hurting because of you papa pls he needs your love too .

Kabeer: And why would I do that huh he is not my son you all are .

After Ashvik went to his room he started crying and he was having difficulty in breathing, he didn’t noticed that Dante was already there when he came because Dante was in the washroom for not getting caught, he came outside after hearing Ashvik crying and panicked seeing that Ashvik was not able to breathe and was wheezing by now because of lack of breath he instantly acted ,

And lifted him and made him sit on his lap and started soothing him with sweet nothings.

Dante: shiv meri jaan shh .. breath baby. …good count with me. … One. two. three.four.five now repeat baby. …

After repeating the same counting and with Dante’s soothing presence made Ashvik’s breathing Normal after ten minutes but now too he was crying .

Ashvik: he …he ….said I….i….am useless…am .I ? He…he… is …right I ….am ..useless
(sobbing uncontrollably)

Ashvik: I …i work …so…hard…i.. really do ….but..why …why… am.. I not … enough…am …am I.. so hard.. to.. love .

Dante’s chest clenched painfully seeing his baby in pain and at this moment he just wanted to kill whoever made his jaan feel so worthless.

Dante : No baby..meri Jaan you are not useless you can never be mera baccha shh stop crying please baby. It hurts watching you crying like this baby.

Hearing this Ashvik just hugged Dante and kept crying .and Dante was drawing soothing circles on his back and kept kissing his hair . To calm Ashvik who was crying like a small baby.

Dante : shh jaan stop crying…you are the most amazing person I know baby. You are not useless, never could be . Whoever said that is clearly an idiot. Who said you are hard to love , I love you. Baby the most more than I love myself, in this short period you Have become my jaan and I can’t live without you baby.

Ashvik: really?
Before he can say anything someone knocked on the door making both Ashvik and Dante jump and then Ashvik said ..

Ashvik: someone is there it would be a big problem if someone sees you you should go then I will open the door.

Dante : okay jaan , I will come again at night. Okay.

Saying this he hurriedly but safely went back . ….

Ashvik then went to open the door only to get shocked seeing the person infront of him….
