Chapter 27

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Techno woke up early. He sat on the bed for while looking to the empty space to his left, he felt cold. He had decided to sleep in a guest room instead of shearing with Kengkla.

Surprisingly Kengkla didn’t go against the idea. He claimed that him being here was enough.

Techno got off the bed and wear a robe he found in the closet. He opened his door and took about ten steps down the hall. After taking a deep breath in he turned to open the door on his right.

Technic lay in Tay’s arms on the large bed. That looked so peaceful but the door suddenly made a creek and it woke Nic up.

His eyes went left and right before locking them into his brother. He got out of bed and slowly walked toward him.

Techno took a step back allowing his brother space as he closed the door behind himself.

“What is it P’?”

They hadn’t spoken since Techno found out about Technic’s pregnancy. He had a hard time coming to terms with it. Yes his room was ten steps away but he hadn’t been over until now.

“How did you sleep?” It was awkward but it was a start.

“Good… The bed is soft. Nothing like the one I  used to sleep on. And you?”

“Fine… Cold but I was fine.”

Techno crossed his arms over his chest. He wasn’t in the mood to be angry so he tried to talk calmly to his brother.

“How far along are you?”

“Uhm… I learnt of it a day after you arrived. A week or so… And you?”

“Am about 4 weeks. This is crazy.”

“I know right? P’… I really want to enjoy this experience as we are going through it together.”

Techno pulled a smile. He did want to be happy but his thoughts didn’t want to leave him. “I’ll try but am gonna try get used to the fact that am just 3 weeks ahead of my pregnant unemployed younger brother.”

Technic tried ignoring the message sent by his brother. He turned around and went back into his new room.

Techno on the other hand had other issues to deal with. Since coming back he hadn’t seen Art. Even now he didn’t see his annoying body move through the house.

Because he was hungry Techno decided to go look through the fridge for something to eat but he hadn’t expected to find Kengkla making a feast.

“What’s this?”

“Its for you and your brother…”

Kengkla place a dish in front of Techno. It smelt good so Techno took a seat and began eating.

“Leave some for your brother…”

“No… He doesn’t deserve any. He got himself pregnant so am not shearing.”

Kengkla didn’t say anything as long as he got Techno in a good mood. He wanted him to sleep in the same bed but wasn’t going to risk it all so he let Techno sleep alone.

Kengkla quickly left as he had went out to buy Techno and Technic some snacks.

Techno being alone in the kitchen heard the door bell go off. He thought Kengkla would go attend to it but after the third time he got up and went to open the door.

“Can I help you?” He didn’t mean to sound annoyed but he had to leave a tasty meal to open the door so yea… He had the right to sound annoyed.

“Sorry… Am looking for Kengkla.”

“And who are you?” As Techno asked this he failed to notice the body that approached from behind.

“Earth? What are you doing here?”

Kengkla walked up to the door and stood behind Techno.

“I need to talk to you… It’s about Art.”

Techno moved to the side letting Kengkla walk out to get closer to Earth.

“What about him?”

Earth let out heavy sigh before speaking. “His not a good person and to be honest I let him use me for his own selfish desires. Am not sure exactly what his playing at but I just want to warn you that you’re not safe…”

Earth was no longer looking at Kengkla when he said the last words. He looked Techno in the eye. 

“… I pray he hadn’t done anything to you.”

Techno’s face gave way his thoughts.

“Oh lord… He did, didn’t he?”

Kengkla was in state of shock. He didn’t know how to take in the information given to him by his ex… “Earth… What are you saying?”

Earth now looked exhausted. “Am saying that… I came here the first time because Art asked me too… I mean he blackmailed me to come over and if I hadn’t then he would make my private life, public.”

“Art has done nothing but be loyal to me. Why should I believe you?”

Techno decided that now was the time to call out the laying son of a bitch named Art.

“He poisoned me.”

Kengkla looked back to Techno with confusion in his eyes. “What?”

“That day… He took me to the guest room then brought me a glass of water… After drinking it I was in so much pain and shortly after I blacked out.”

“Techno… Are you telling me the truth? And why only tell me this now?”

“I thought it was you who sent him. You ignored me the whole day but after I saw your caring behavior, I began to suspect Art only until now. Earth basically confirmed it.”

Kengkla suddenly felt betrayed. He had put his whole life in Arts hands and this is what he did with it.

” Am sorry Techno… I didn’t know Art would go so far… “

Techno pulled sad smile. He had  only heard a few words from Kengkla about Earth but he found him to be a kind soul who did the right thing.

“Where is Art by the way? I hadn’t seen him since morning.” Techno spoke again, pulling Kengkla from his thoughts. He was angry and when he found where Art was he was most likely going to murder him and bury him there.

“I’ll ask Kris… You go back to eating and I’ll handle this.”

Techno watched Kengkla walk away and back into house. He stood outside with Earth who now felt a bit awkward. “Thank you for doing this…” Techno said hoping to ease the tension.

“Its alright, I needed to get Art out my life. Am flying to Paris for work and I honestly can’t have gone with such a weight on my shoulders. I wish you good luck with your son.” Earth said his good bye, leaving Techno a bit more light hearted. Now he would have to find out what Kengkla would do to Art.
